The new Dodge Charger is longer, lower and wider than the model it replaces, but offers even more performance from its 5.7-liter Hemi V8, which now belts out 470bhp and the standard 2.7-liter Pentastar V6 also offers 292bhp and better economy. Although based on the previous models' platform, the car has been significantly reworked to enhance its driving dynamics with all-new suspension settings, but it also wears bolder sheet-metal. The interior, benchmarked against European models, features soft touch plastics, a single piece molding for the dash and better colors throughout the range.
According to GM, the Pontiac SD-290 concept is "Designed to evoke the emotions of classic sports cars". Introduced at SEMA, the vehicle is derived from a Pontiac Solstice but has been transformed into a pure single-seat race car with its passenger compartment made obsolete by a hard tonneau cover. Despite its competition red paint scheme, it is difficult not to relate the SD-290 to the timeless shape of a D-Type Jaguar. We can also see the influence of BMW's 2004 H2R land speed record breaking concept in the SD-290's asymmetrical layout, with its racing cockpit protected only by a small windscreen in front of the driver and a faired headrest and roll-bar behind the seat.
2015 Audi RS7 facelift (pictured) revealed
It’s not much more than a year or so since the Audi RS7 was revealed at the Detroit Motor Show, but it’s already getting a bit of a facelift. The changes aren’t enormous, but with the A7 and S7 getting a tweak for 2015 there’s no way Audi could leave the RS7 to struggle on with the ‘old’ look. Changes pretty much mirror those on the A7/S7 with a single frame grill and slightly different front bumper changing the nose (although you’ll probably need them side by side to spot the changes) with standard LED headlights and the option of Audi’s new matrix headlights on offer with darker graphics to set them apart from those of the A7/S7.
